This work is a series of interventions made into a space on the outskirts of Beijing. In October of 2014 I photographed an abandoned factory space; a year later, I found the space had begun refurbishment, before being abandoned again. I pasted an upside down copy of the original photograph back into the space, reinserting the past back into the space. In subsequent iterations I bleached out the entire image, before re-painting it back again, and then re-inserting another image on top of the faded piece. The interventions continued until the eventual demolition of the building.
