Inside Out
Inside Out was a project made in collaboration with the artist JR and the organisation TED.
The piece was exploring the role and prevalence of CCTV in Edinburgh, where the TED conference would be held. I photographed people on both ‘sides’ of the CCTV camera: those working in security, and those in heavily surveilled areas. We pasted their images around the city, putting both surveilled and surveillant back into public space.
A fuller account of the concept and process can be read on the TED blog here.
