2021 Research into bird collisions with man-made structures in China

CELU Studio was one of the co-initiators of the first nation-wide research into bird collisions in China. The project brought together academics from Duke Kunshan University (Environmental policy department), B-Lab, CYCAN and Chengdu Bird Watching Society.Using CYCAN’s network of Universities around China, the project recruited thousands of volunteers to help collect data regarding bird collisions, which in itself functioned as a significant awareness raising exercise.

CELU Studio presented the work ‘Lighthouse’ as part of the project, providing one possible solution to the issue.
